Part-time Instructor of Anthropology
Research Interests
Physical anthropology, forensic science, evolutionary and adaptive processes, neanderthals, mitochondrial DNA, osteology, museum curation, linguistics, wealth gap and health care issues.
Current Research
One of my most recent projects has been to help curate the “Race: Are We So Different?” exhibit at Cincinnati's Museum Center.
I accepted a position with Northern Kentucky Area Development District for summer 2009, working with low income, intercity youth. I was an employment counselor for their youth program in which I negotiated employment with area corporations. There are increasing incidents of youth between 16-24 years of age dropping out of school to help their families during the recession. I found them employers willing to work with school schedules and family situations.
